Description

Castrol Molub-Alloy 491-C Dry Film Lubricant is a unique hydrothermal lubricant, especially formulated for heavy industrial applications where high temperatures prohibit the use of normal lubricants, or .dry film. lubricants having a flammable base. Metallic self-lubricating solids are completely homogenized to remain in suspension, and to assure maximum effectiveness in application.

Application

Typical applications are found in aluminum die casting and extrusion industries, glass bottle molds, rubber tire molds, cement kilns (to lube the supporting pads between rider rings/girth gear and kiln shell, to ease expansion and contraction of shell), or whatever routine operation demands removal, disassembly or slow and intermittent movement of parts constantly operating at temperatures in excess of 300°F/149°C.
